Crosswinds Research and Chasing is based out of plainville, Kansas with area branches in Salina and Abilene kansas. Crosswinds Research and Chasing works along side with the local media and National Weather Service along with other sources in the community. We are committed to providing up-to-date weather information to the general public during severe weather events though out the year. Cross Winds Research and Chasing is committed to promoting preparedness and training through out the community all year round. All members of our team will always have preparedness materials on them to distribute to the community. Our Disaster Response team is ready to respond as needed to help communities during disasters. We recommend to get prepared, make a plan, get a kit, and be informed. We would advise the community to have a NOAA WEATHER RADIO.

Preparedness

Helping you get prepared

We want all of our followers to be safe and this involves one of our main focus of our team which is preparedness. We have folders or bags full of preparedness materials that is ready to hand out to the public durning events or if someone walks up and asks for preparedness materials.

Storm spotting and chasing

The joy of nature

Our chasing team has taken plenty of classes to be certified to storm spot or chase for the state of Kansas. We do live feeds on our Facebook page and group. We do our feeds to give out updated information to keep our communities safe.

Disaster response team

The aftermath support

We have a trained disaster response team. We have a trailer that is stocked for a small disaster. We canteen for first responders in Disasters. We support our communities and first responders. We have done multiple disaster trainings threw F.E.M.A and the American Red Cross. Whenever you call Crosswinds Research and Chasing, you can trust that you’re in great hands.

We take a lot of pride in joining in and supporting local communities and local events like parades and fairs. We will pass out preparedness materials or candy for parades. We show our support for our military branches and all forms of first responders
