Crosswinds Research and Chasing, so here we go,

Crosswinds Research And Chasing along with

Crosswinds Disaster Response Team.

Crosswinds Research and Chasing along with Crosswinds Disaster Response Team started in 2015. The team started with two active storm spotters, Jason Leiker and Christina Turley Leiker who has been local spotters and storm chasers since 2015 but has had many years of spotting before then. The main goal of Crosswinds Research and Chasing is to promote preparedness along with Disaster Response to those who was affected by a disaster and to keep communities updated in local weather warnings in Kansas.

In 2021 Crosswinds has grown to involve two new regional teams Salina region Team and Abilene regional team. Crosswinds has also built on our event team and Preparedness team. Our Disaster team has a fully stocked Disaster trailer ready to respond in any call, thanks to the followers and volunteers who supported us and we will gladly show the trailer. We have monthly meetings to discuss on new ways to promote preparedness and new ways on getting local weather updates to the communities in Kansas.

Crosswinds Disaster Response Team is ready to respond 24 hours a day. We also support our local first responders in Kansas communities. Crosswinds Research and Chasing puts together preparedness packets that are ready to pass out when requested. Please stop a team member and request a packet they should have them on hand. Our teams are fully trained for the department they are in.
